Preparing files for Depot
Let’s take a look at what you need to do in GIST (or the drawing program of your choice) to get your files ready for sharing.
There are three things to remember when preparing your files:
- Depot supports multiple file formats–JPG, PDF, GIST, PowerPoint, etc.
- It’s a good idea to save a copy of your example in at least one format that doesn’t require others to buy software to view it–for example, a JPG or PDF version.
- Don’t forget to include a file extension in your example’s name! That’s how Depot knows how to handle the file.

This is very helpful! I really like the multiple page format…it makes it easy to refer back to a specific topic in the future. Using the visuals to demonstrate sharing was very descriptive.
