Kindle 2 to be announced February 9?
I hesitated mentioning this yesterday since it’s mostly based on speculation, but now that I see the New York Times has covered it, I’ll bite: Amazon will reportedly introduce the next generation of Kindle, its electronic book reader, at a special event on February 9.
According to the post, the new Kindle will correct some of the design issues the current version has been criticized for, such as its angular design and awkward buttons, and sport faster page drawing technology.
Kindles have been out of stock since November–if you’re still interested in picking one up keep an eye on Amazon’s website on February 9 for this announcement.
