“Premium accounts” for Twitter is a hoax

There’s a gag going around today about a new “premium accounts” option for Twitter. It’s a hoax–at this time Twitter does not charge anyone for an account or any special level of service.

Speaking of Twitter, I just got back from this year’s South by Southwest Interactive festival and Twitter was everywhere. I’m going to write up something about this soon. It may help you think about how to use this tool at conferences you attend in the future, or in your work as a professional developer.
