Bing! Test drive Microsoft’s new search engine

FirefoxScreenSnapz001.jpgThis morning, Microsoft released their new search engine Bing, an alternative to Google for general web searching. The first thing you’ll notice is the visual interface, a major contrast to Google’s more down-to-basics approach to interface design. This extends beyond just the front page, pictured here–Microsoft has put little touches here and there to make Bing easier to get around. Technology blog TechCrunch has a list of sample Bing searches to help you see the various ways in which this new engine returns results to you. (I personally like the location-aware map search of BBQ.)

What do you think? Could you see yourself replacing your current search engine of choice with Bing?
