Adding Video to PowerPoint

Follow these steps to download a video from YouTube and place it in a PowerPoint or Keynote presentation. KickYouTube is not officially supported by YouTube and remember to be aware of the video producers’ copyright.

Open your internet browser and visit www.youtube.com

Type the title or a few key words of the video you are looking for in the search box.

Click on the title of your video

You will be directed to a new page.

At the top of the page, in your website address box, type the word "kick"before the word "youtube" in the existing address and do not delete anything. Press the "Enter" key on your keyboard.

Select which type of video you wish to export and click “Go.”

The “Go” button will change into the “Down” button.

Right-click on the Down button and select "Save Link As."

The video will begin to download to your computer.

Open PowerPoint or Keynote on your computer.

At the top of the page, go to Insert > Movies and Sounds > Movie from File. Browse your computer for the video you previously downloaded.

The video will appear in your slide, along with a toolbar that will allow you to customize actions.
