We lost building power for a little while earlier today--unfortunately I was away from the office when it happened. Everything's back up and running now. Sorry for any inconveniences--let me know if anything seems amiss.
I've got to do some work on Dossier's server this evening which may require me to shut down the site for a bit, starting around 6:00 CDT. I'll have things back up and running as quickly as possible.
Our grand experiment in online peer support is drawing to a close, but there are still plenty of other ways to get help with Stratepedia. Plus: New documentation coming!
The Stratepedia Learning Labs and other developmental Moodle sites (you know who you are) will be offline for maintenance at various times today.
I've had some changes ready to apply to Depot sitting on the back burner for awhile--in the interest of getting them in place in plenty of time for the conference I'm planning to push them out to the server over the holiday weekend. Downtime should be very minimal, since the ...
Heads up! I'm about to start a little reorganization project with the categories in the Hello sidebar. Things should work in the meantime, but may look a little weird. When I'm done, though, the categories should be much easier to browse.
The updates to the Learning Labs I mentioned earlier are now complete. Upgrading Moodle to new versions is never as easy as it should be, so let me know if something looks odd. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused!
The Learning Labs will be offline this evening for an hour or less.
There was a major power outage in Lawrence early this morning, and some of the servers didn't come back up right away. Everything should now be back to normal.
I will be performing some routine maintenance on a core Stratepedia server this afternoon. This should take no more than 10 minutes.
I recently ran into the problem of having people not be able to play a DVD that I had burnt for them. They were using it on their computers and it seemed to be isolated to the PC users and I couldn't figure out for the life of me what ...
Dossier is getting the updates I promised a few weeks ago, and also moving to a new server. I'm going to do this tomorrow, May 1. I'm planning on doing this during the day since nobody's really using the system just yet, but if I'm wrong now's the time ...
The problem I was having last week with the custom iPhone view for this site has been resolved! For those of you without an iPhone, here's a rough example of what you're missing, courtesy of the iPhoney Mobile Safari simulator.
Also, just ...
Unfortunately, the modification we were using to produce an iPhone-specific version of this site doesn't play well with the new look we installed last week. I've disabled the fancy iPhone version for now until I figure out a workaround. No worries, as you can still view the site with Mobile ...
The Stratepedia Blog (this site) is getting a facelift! The site will be unavailable for about 60 minutes beginning this afternoon at 4:00 CDT while we slap on a fresh coat of paint.
Several sites hosted by Stratepedia will be unavailable for about an hour this afternoon, beginning around 4:00 PM central time.
Several Stratepedia services will experience very brief downtime this week while I update servers.
Due to some unannounced (to me, anyway) changes to the mail servers we use to send you important things like Learning Labs posting notifications and password reset help, we've been able to send you messages for the better part of the last few days (I'm not even sure when this ...
I'll be doing some maintenance on the Learning Labs later this evening, around 10:00 Central Time. The site will be unavailable for approximately 30 minutes.
Update 10:35 PM: Everything's updated and looks normal, as far as I can tell. Let me know if something looks awry.
KU's IT people are going to be working on the campus network on Sunday the 30th. This will affect everything on Stratepedia. If something goes south we'll do our best to let you know on our Twitter account.
