New feeds added to feeds.stratepedia.org

Friday, August 22nd, 2008

After a long week of getting Coaching Calendar up and running for the Virginia CLC schools, I’m taking a brief break and catching up on other projects today. First up: I’ve added the following feeds to feeds.stratepedia.org, our one-stop-shop for CRL and SIM-related RSS feeds. For those of you who haven’t latched onto an RSS reader yet, this is the next best thing.

KU-CRL visuals online

Tuesday, April 15th, 2008

This is just a quick note to let everyone know that we have just created a place for the CRL’s visual identities in the CRL Media Archives. Here, we will have a variety of logos associated with the work of the center available for use on various CRL related projects.

Dimensions of the SIM logo

I strongly encourage you to read the accompanying manuals/materials in order to ensure proper use of the logos. This will really help us keep a consistent “look” across the board on all of our work and make sure that all visual elements are used appropriately.

You can find the items online at media.kucrl.org under the topic “Visual Identity” in the menu on the left side. Currently, the SIM, CLC, Fusion Reading and Xtreme Reading logo information is there.

We’re about to be Internet-famous

Friday, April 4th, 2008

Mark, Amber and I were just interviewed by David Gnojek for the KU-CRL Podcast. Listen for us in the coming weeks–I think Dave is going to break it down into a few segments–and hear us talk a bit about Depot, Dossier, the Learning Labs, our sessions at this summer’s conference, and a few other surprises.

I’ve also been toying with the idea of restarting our own short-lived Stratepedia Podcast. Look for it to be weekly or so and provide tips on our software and other things we’ve found useful. Stay tuned!

(By the way, in case you didn’t know–you don’t need an iPod to play back podcasts! Dave’s got CRL’s set up so you can play clips directly in your web browser–no downloading required.)
